Saniharto is one of the world’s leading manufacturing companies, specializing in custom state-of-the-art residential, contract furniture for the luxury hotel market, and home furniture brand from Indonesia. Since 1990, they have created furniture with the highest level of craftsmanship and thus making our brand placed among other premium style brands.

Rooted in their early production of sliced wood veneer, bent wood, and top table marquetry, Saniharto believes that design, craftsmanship, and good services are essential in creating a product and a lasting brand. That’s why Saniharto has continuously collaborated with prominent Indonesian designers who share the same values and intentions since 2005.

Following the success of the first collaboration in 2017, AlvinT and Saniharto are launching their second collection: Objects of Living: Between Expression and Intention. Through the collection, we invite others to relearn how to use their senses. To feel, touch, smell, and learn to observe one's surroundings like a child discovering the world. With this approach, alvinT created pieces with distinct characters that speak to the souls while using design to explore a few questions about the world that constantly linger in our minds: Why are humans still relevant today? What does it mean to be human in today's age of technology and machinery? Can we reconnect humans through the practices of making and the objects of our daily lives?

Each of the designed pieces is different from the others with slight imperfections because they were made with feelings and care translated through human hands. With this collection, we wanted to create pieces that wish to bring back the intuitive works of hands, exploring the boundaries between expression and intention.
