Titled Hustle Hustle Hustle the AlvinT newsletter of Edition 1 October 2017 outlines the commitments of AlvinT in advancing the profession and profile of interior and furniture designers in the country.
AlvinT started October off with the Angan shelf exhibited in the 6-weeks long of Artura’s eighth edition of ICAD (Indonesian Contemporary Art & Design), officially launched on the fourth. The cage-like silhouette shelf is made of natural rattan with uneven openings; a contemporary approach of a floor-stand shelf with Indonesian materials. The shelf was last exhibited earlier this year in the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, Italy.
On the fifth through the eighth AlvinT saw itself in full support of HDII (Himpunan Designer Interior Indonesia) in the Index Mozaik annual trade show of interior and fit-out products. The HDII 280 sqm booth was designed by and decorated with furniture items of AlvinT.
October will end with our Creative Director in the judging panel of a competition and speaking in a students’ seminar.
The design competition for Innovative Wood Joint System is organized by the ARCHI-DEPOT Corporation and the Japan Institute of Architects, with our Creative Director, Alvin Tjitrowirjo, in the jury panel alongside Riichi Miyake, Masahiro Harada, Andra Matin and Adi Purnomo.
While the speaking engagement at the Seminar Nasional Destortsi IV is organized by the IMDI (Ikatan Mahasiswa Desain Interior) ISI (Institut Seni Indonesia) Yogyakarta, for our Creative Director to take on the “Personal Brand for Creative Startup” topic with Andy Rahman and Iwan Sastrawiguna.
All the hustle and bustle is for AlvinT a continued commitment in strengthening ties with like-minded people in the industry to advance the furniture and interior designer profile and profession in the country.
