Satool
Satool presents an example of how looking into and learning about our tradition can give incentive to creative endeavors. Borrowing the shape of an indigenous fishnet from Eastern Indonesia as well as rattan pillow from Japan, Satool bench became an expression of fluidity and flexibility, both in terms of shape and encounters. The use of rattan in this modular bench is intended to break the hard edges and often rigid outcome of traditional rattan creation.
