Introducing the vessel and scent set born from the collaborative exploration between Oaken Lab and our Creative Director, Alvin Tjitrowirjo. Oaken Lab is a fragrance and body care brand led by husband-and-wife Chris Kerrigan and Cynthia Wirjono that aims to enhance the daily ritual with scents—in the package of perfumes, lotions and incense—inspired by their own stories and experiences. Rising to the top of the local body care industry, Oaken is making a mark with scents such as Far Afield, Batavia Barber and Earth of Mankind. Each of their fragrances takes up to months to create, using natural ingredients sourced locally throughout Indonesia.

As Oaken is known for working with many local brands, we are excited to finally be one of the collaborators and decided to create something very special. This project seeks to capture the olfactory fusion of sea and forest—an idea that arises from Alvin's passion for traveling and experiencing nature.
The scent is inspired by the smell of the sea, sand and grass, which reminds us of the simple pleasures of life, appreciating the beauty of our surroundings, inspiring us to spontaneity and freedom through travel and exploration.
Designed by alvinT, the vessel's shape and pattern are reminiscent of the driftwood often found in coastal areas, a link between the sea and the forest landscape. Dipped in a sage hue, it signifies freshness and a connection to the outdoors. The visual and shape are slightly irregular and asymmetrical to add depth and dimension to the vessel, highlighting both Oaken and AlvinT's shared value—its handcrafted quality.
