Kelana is a conversational piece combining natural rattan and leather, a fresh take that challenges traditional archetypes and uplifts local craftsmanship and natural materials using a contemporary approach.

The bespoke design features a 5-meter long bench made out of natural manau rattan poles, covered in woven sega rattan fitrit combined with natural tan leather and Coach bespoke buckles. Completed with bespoke coffee tables made out of custom-designed terrazzo patterns and with wooden structures covered in teak veneer. The design combines both brands’ identities (Coach & AlvinT), a testament to the power of combining expert craftsmanship with a deep appreciation for local surroundings and spirit. Artisans have long favored both materials for their natural beauty and versatility, and our collaboration seeks to highlight the unique qualities of each.

The bespoke design boasts a unique and captivating shape—organic and fluid—while adding character to the space, Coach's latest flagship store in Jakarta. The curves and bends of the bench highlight the material’s flexibility while forming an enticing object that both encloses and divides the space, allowing different groups of visitors to use the area privately while occupying the same room.

The intricate weaving of rattan adds a natural texture that enhances the overall aesthetic of the piece. At the same time, the high-quality leather upholstery provides a luxurious and comfortable seating experience. This contrast of textures showcases the natural beauty of its materials, which are entirely manipulated by hand.

Pipih embodies the refined ambiance of COACH, distinguished by its bold, contemporary silhouette, subtle hints of brass, and unique and irregular edges that follow the natural contours of the material.

Pipih combines a terrazzo top table made of small stones inspired by naturally formed boulders with a wooden cylinder base with brass accents, creating a primitive yet playful form that also adds a touch of refinement and luxury. 

The solid construction of the tables imbues them with a sense of substance and sturdiness that offers a natural presence that enhances the beauty of the space.
