alvinT will be back at EMERGE @ FIND Design Fair Asia
The design world is abuzz with excitement as the highly anticipated FIND - Design Fair Asia 2023 prepares to open its doors once again, and we are excited to announce that AlvinT will be back at the fair through EMERGE this September!
Curated by Suzy Annetta of Design Anthology, this year's curatorial theme is "CRAFT + INDUSTRY: MAN + MACHINE." Over 50 emerging and established designers from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam will contribute their works, showcasing the dynamic interplay between traditional craftsmanship and modern technology.
The highlight of our participation at EMERGE will be unveiling our new collection in collaboration with Handep "Ndare"–a furniture collection born from a profound appreciation for the intricate relationship between the crafter, the environment, and culture.
In a world where modern society often overlooks the wisdom embedded in traditional craftsmanship, AlvinT and Handep have united to rediscover and collectively preserve this wisdom. The collaboration highlights the craftsmanship and the culture of the Dayak weavers of Gunung Purei, Central Kalimantan, resulting in a collection that harmoniously marries contemporary design with our cultural heritage.
